How to get a Library Card:

It's easy to get a library card

The library will serve all people who request Haywood County library services with proper I.D. and a local mailing address and whose conduct or activities do not intrude on the customary usage of the library by other patrons or the staff.

A Library Card Allows you to:

  • Check out books, DVDs, CDs and other Library materials
  • Search online databases from your home, office or school
  • Check your Library account online from home or office
  • Place holds on items and request delivery to a branch of your choice
  • Request a book you think should be in the collection
  • Renew your library materials.

How to Apply for A Library Card:

Apply in person

Fill out and print the online form and bring it to any branch or you may fill out a library card application at any branch. Be sure to bring acceptable forms of identification with you (driver’s license, social security card, passports). Children under the age of 16 will need parents’ or guardian’s signature.
