Policies

The library offers free public access to the Internet at all library locations. Please be sure to read our Internet Access Policy .

We ask that you have your card with you to check out materials. You are responsible for anything checked out on your card. There is no cost for your first card, additional cards are $2.00.

LOAN PERIOD

Our standard loan period is 2 weeks except for:
AV equipment - 24 hours
Feature Film videos - 3 days
Art prints - 3 months

RENEWALS

All materials may be renewed two times
by phone: 828-452-6747 or by web access ,
unless the item is reserved for another library patron.

RESERVES

Reserves may be placed at the public access catalogs, through web access, or at the circulation desk.

FINES

Daily overdue fines are as follows:
.10 books and recordings
1.00 videos, CD-ROMS and art prints
.25 an hour AV equipment
Materials not returned within 3 months are considered lost. You will be charged the cost of the item plus a processing charge.
