Boone - A biography Copies of the 2008 Together We Read book Boone by Robert Morgan are available for checkout at all locations of Haywood County Public Library.

As part of the program this year we’re having a contest. We’d like you to read the book Boone, and then list 5 things you learned about Daniel Boone that are new to you. I’ve read the book and found Daniel Boone to be a unique individual for his time. In many ways he doesn’t reflect the character of folklore or Hollywood. I think you’ll be surprised.

The entry forms will either be in the book when you check it out, or you can pick one up at the circulation desk. When you return the book, drop off the short form at the circulation desk; we’ll collect them and post them somewhere in the library or may even share them on our web page. Some lucky reader will win a prize (yet to be determined) at the end of the program.

Twenty copies of Boone have been purchased by the Friends of the Haywood County Public Library. With the Friends copies plus the copies the library already owns we hope the wait won’t be too long.

Come, join your friends and neighbors throughout all of western North Carolina and share an outstanding read by a local author.
