  2. Summer Reading Program

    It’s warming up outside and the Haywood County Public Library would like to invite you to join the Summer Reading fun! There’s something for all ages during the months of June and July. You’re invited to attend our in-person programs and performances, as well as pick up free take-and-make kits full of crafts and DIY projects. You can register for Summer Reading beginning June 1st and pick up your challenge sheets and starter bags at all library locations. There will be lots of great prizes for those who participate in the reading challenges! Young readers, children, teens, and adults who finish will have a chance to win one of our grand prize gift baskets, full of great goodies and passes! Summer Reading ends on July 29th.

  4. Mother Goose Storytime

    The Library Board of Trustees meet the third Wednesday of every month at the Waynesville branch Auditorium at 4:30pm. Meetings are open to the public. The Library Board of Trustees adopts written policies governing the operation, fines, programs, and book and material selection of the Haywood County Public Library system; determines purposes of the library and secures adequate funds to carry out library programs; assists in development of annual budget; and, maintains awareness and knowledge of local and state laws and actively supports legislation in the state and nation as they pertain to libraries. Authorities: North Carolina General Statutes 153A-261, 263, 265 and 266.
