Storytimes and most youth programs will not be held in August – they will resume in September. The August break will allow programming staff time to plan.

You’re invited to view a photo exhibit of historic Haywood County photographs at the Waynesville Library during the months of August and September. The community’s assistance is needed to identify the people and places pictured. Images are from the Sherrill Studio Photograph collection at WCU’s Hunter Library and depict the region during the first half of the 20th century. Exhibit is in the North Carolina Room. The library has partnered with the NC Museum of Art to bring you a special craft kit! Get creative and inspired by renowned NCMA art and artists in the comfort of your own home. This activity kit comes with materials plus written instructions for a complete hands-on project! This program is ideal for children ages 6 and up. Take & Make Kits will be available to pick up starting August 15 at all library locations, while supplies last. Kits cannot be reserved over the phone.
