Due to the rock slide at mile marker 7 on Interstate 40 resulting in the closure of the interstate from mile marker 20 to the Tennessee line, the White Oak Landfill will be closed to the public until NCDOT re-opens I40. Residents may take items to the Materials Recovery Facility on Recycle Road in Clyde, Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. No organics or brush will be accepted.
