[ARCHIVED] Applicants Sought for Haywood County Home and Community Care Block Grant & Aging Planning Committee

The Haywood County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications to fill four vacancies on the Haywood County Home and Community Care Block Grant and Aging Planning Committee.

The committee meets quarterly at 1 pm on the third Thursday of January, April, July and October at Haywood County Health and Human Services.  (Note:  meeting format may be affected by COVID safety concerns.) The committee serves as an advisory board for the planning, coordination, and distribution of block grant funds among providers who deliver services and programs for aging adults.  

The Volunteer Board Applicant Form may be downloaded from the “How Do I…Submit Volunteer Board or Committee Application” section of the county website https://www.haywoodcountync.gov/9/How-Do-I or picked up from the County Manager’s office from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Haywood County Courthouse, third floor, 215 North Main Street, Waynesville.  

Completed applications may be returned to the County Manager’s Office or attached to an email to Amy Stevens, Deputy Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, at amy.stevens@haywoodcountync.gov .

 Applications will be accepted through February 28, 2021. For more information, contact the County Manager’s Office at 452-6625.
