[ARCHIVED] Applicants Sought for Recreation Advisory Board

The Haywood County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill one at-large position on the Haywood County Recreation Advisory Board.  

The Recreation Advisory Board provides a forum for citizen suggestions or concerns, advises staff on community recreation needs, and makes staff of the Recreation and Parks Department aware of and sensitive to public needs. Members are appointed to 3 year terms. The board meets at 5:30 pm on the first Tuesday of every other month (February, April, June, August, October and December). Please note that this schedule may be affected by COVID safety concerns and measures. 

The Volunteer Board Applicant Form may be downloaded from the “How Do I…Submit Volunteer Board or Committee Application” section of the county website https://www.haywoodcountync.gov/9/How-Do-I or picked up from the County Manager’s office from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Haywood County Courthouse, third floor, 215 North Main Street, Waynesville.  

Completed applications may be returned to the County Manager’s Office or attached to an email to Amy Stevens, Deputy Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, at amy.stevens@haywoodcountync.gov .

Applications will be accepted through February 28, 2022. For more information, contact the County Manager’s Office at 452-6620.
